Abstract

The article reveals cognitive and linguostylistic aspects of Kazuo Ishiguro’s “Nocturnes: Five Stories of Music and Nightfall”. The main attention is given to highlighting the figurative understanding of the basic concepts and reconstruction of the conceptual integration networks, which enable a deeper understanding of the notion of “music” in the referred stories and outline the implicit author’s intentions.
