According to the scholars, stylistic devices that express the comic in English discourse are analyzed in a multidimensional aspect: phonetic, morphological, lexical, syntactic, and stylistic. This article focuses only on stylistic devices of expressing the comic in the English film discourse and their translation into the Ukrainian language (a study of the comedy «Spy»). Among the ways of translating these stylistic devices, the following are singled out: cultural-situational substitution, situational replacement, domestication, variational transformation and descriptive translation. All these ways of translating the comic stylistic devices that appear in English film discourse help to render the content of a joke with minimal translation loss. Also, they help to make English jokes more understandable to the Ukrainian audience. The most important rule in translation is to make the translation funnier and more interesting than the original.
