Abstract

The article deals with the basic models of ideology in literature; there have been analyzed Ukrainian socio-cultural
codes, synchronous with the appearance of the work by E. Segal “Oliver’s Story”, and determined the causes of the
backlog of translation and publication of the Ukrainian counterpart from the time of appearance and functioning of the
source text.
