THE GERMANIC-SCANDINAVIAN CONTEXT IN THE POETRY BY THE UKRAINIAN WRITER IN BRAZIL VIRA VOVK: DIALOGUE OF THE TEXTS

Abstract

The article analyzes the images and motifs of the Germanic and Scandinavian mythology, for example the collection by Vira Vovk “Feminine masques”. The comparative, translation studies, linguistic, historical, contextual, poetological methods are given. The adapted and worked up sources in the Anglo-Saxon (Old English), Old Icelandic and other languages are given to the comparative analysis of the German archetypes and symbols.
