Abstract

The article focuses on the analysis of history and topics of translations made by émigré poetess Zhenia Vasylkivska, a member of the New York Croup, in the light of intercultural communication in the French and Spanish literatures. The article provides some examples from the poetess’ works previously unknown to the readership. In the 1960s the poetess translated and disseminated widely her favourite literary works in the Ukrainian readers’ environment; she introduced them to the Ukrainian exile literature suggesting her own vision of foreign literatures.
