Abstract

Pragmatic strategies, used in Roald Dahl’s story «Charlie and the Chocolate Factory» and pragmatic adaptation in translation of this fiction are under analysis. The article presents the results of translational analysis for expressive, frustration, suggestive, phatic strategies and analysis of four types of adaptations with examples from the analyzed fairy story
