Abstract

The ways of reproduction of the authorial vocabulary originating from J. R. R. Tolkien’s artificial languages in the Ukrainian translations of his novels “The Lord of the Rings” and “The Hobbit” by O. O’Lir, O. Mokrovolskiy, A. Nemirova,
K. Onischuk and O. Feshovets are analyzed. The main difficulties and sequential steps of translator’s work with onyms and realia are ascertained.
