SPECIFICITY OF THE THEMATIC ORGANIZATION OF THE ENGLISH-LANGUAGE CHILDREN’S POETIC DISCOURSE

Abstract

The article reveals the thematic organization of English-language children’s poetic discourse. Based on the analysis of illustrative material, linguistic means of the basic concept’s representation of children’s poetic discourse have been discovered. In the paper the main textual lexical and thematic groups have been distinguished; their quantitative calculations have been carried out according to the principle of diversification of children’s poetic texts in accordance with age categories. This research allows to distinguish the following dominant themes of the English-language children’s poetic discourse: children and their environment, animals, nature, and some others.
