Abstract

An overview of the evolution of different approaches to plot and composition studies is under analysis. The article presents the main approaches to the investigation of the composition and plot organization of a literary text in the perspective of historical, formal and structural poetics. Linguistic ways of realization of the composition and plot organization in the context of cognitive poetics are revealed in the article.
