Requirements for publication of research articles

To publish the article in the journal No 2/2024 it is necessary to send the following materials by e-mail to the editors office before October 28, 2024:

After review of a publication, you should send a scanned electronic copy of payment confirmation of editing fee.

Attention! Articles of the students are accepted only in co-authorship with a scientific supervisor.

Materials should be sent in electronic form at address: editor@tsj.kherson.ua.

Academic integrity

The articles are checked for plagiarism using the software StrikePlagiarism.com developed by the Polish company Plagiat.pl.

The example of files names: Fedorenko_Author_Information, Fedorenko_Article, Fedorenko_Payment.

The electronic version of the magazine will be posted on the website after December 31, 2024.
The printed version of the journal will be sent to authors of articles who order a printed copy by January 31, 2025

PAYMENT

The editorial fee is UAH 1300 for one article of up to 12 pages. If the article is more than the specified volume, it is necessary to pay an additional 50 hryvnias for each page.

If desired, the author of the article can order a printed copy of the magazine. The cost of a printed copy is UAH 800, which must be paid in addition to the publication fee.

The editorial board of the scientific bulletin checks articles for plagiarism, as well as reviews them (type of review - internal anonymous). If the test is successful, the authors are sent details to pay the publication fee. Otherwise, the article is returned for revision.

REQUIREMENTS FOR ARTICLE EXECUTION

General requirements:

The order of structural elements in the article:

  1. The following is in an article’s language:
  • a title;
  • full name of the author (co-authors) (maximum of two persons);
  • scientific degree, academic rank (if any), post, affiliation, e-mail;
  • ORCID ID. If the author doesn’t have an ORCID account, it is essential to log in at the link http://orcid.org/;
  • an abstract and key words.

The volume of the abstracts is 1800 characters without spaces (250 – 300 words). The abstract shall include 5 – 10 key words and word combinations, none of which duplicates the article’s title.

  1. It is important to write the following in English for Ukrainian articles and in Ukrainian for the articles written in other languages:
  • a title;

  1. Text of the article:

Introduction is an obligatory part in which the author highlights the title’s novelty and relevancy. The research purpose should be formulated along with research tasks. It is crucial to specify research methodology and a presentation logic of the material under study.

The main text should include conceptual sections with individual titles (4-6 words).

The article should have Conclusions that render specific findings and prospects for further research.

  1. Bibliography

Bibliographic description is performed taking into account the National Standard of Ukraine DSTU 8302:2015 “Information and documentation. Bibliographic reference. General principles and rules of composition”. In a case of failure to execute the list according to the rules, reviewers may reject an article.

Prohibition of using scientific works of the occupying country
It is prohibited citing and including in the reference list russian-language contributions published in any country, incl. papers written in other languages but published in russia and belarus.

  1. References

References are completed in compliance with АРА (APA Style Reference Citations): Author (transliteration), article title (transliteration), article title (English translation in square brackets), source name (transliteration), output data (a city – in English), publisher (transliteration). For instance:

  2. Batsevych F. S. (2009). Osnovy komunikatyvnoi linhvistyky [Basics of communicative linguistics]. Kyiv: Akademiia, 376 p.

Transliteration of names and surnames from Ukrainian is performed meeting the requirements of the Decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine “On Normalization of Transliteration of the Ukrainian Alphabet by Means of Latin Alphabet” dated January 27, 2010, No 55.

The rules for executing of references and bibliographic description:

References to literature are indicated within the text in square brackets following the example: The issue of translation activity can be considered in the historical-cultural, linguistic, psycholinguistic aspects, because “during the translation there is a clash of not only lexical, grammatical systems but also communicative-pragmatic, linguistic-poetic, socio-cultural ideas, mentality of speakers” (Selivanova, 1999).

At the same time, the main functions of addresses in the lyrics are appellate, characterizing, emotionally expressive and nominative (Stepykhova, 2009).

If a page of the source is marked, it is colon separated, e.g. (Bondarenko, 2002: 25–27).
