Abstract

The objective of the research is the investigation of the peculiarities of the English gothic novel, including an outlook on its history, and the evolutionary changes in the author’s narrative through XVIII – XXI centuries. The findings of the research consist in establishing the differences in the morphological and syntactic structure of the English gothic novel in diachrony.
